Changes who can unlock admin access on a device -- doesn't affect anyone already unlocked, and doesn't affect the company password below.

Every other device stays on the old password until someone manually opens Settings → Leave This Company, then rejoins with the new one. There's no way to push the change to them automatically -- tell your team before (or right after) you do this. Nothing already synced is lost either way; a device just won't sync anything new until it rejoins.
